Smoke-Free Illinois is a statewide coalition of concerned citizens who believe that all workers and citizens deserve to be protected by a comprehensive indoor smoke-free law. Our focus is to educate the people of Illinois and our leaders about the health dangers of secondhand smoke.
The effects of secondhand smoke have never been clearer. Secondhand smoke kills. Its effects are immediate and devastating. We cannot afford to ignore this public health issue any longer.
Because there is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke, we believe that everyone in Illinois deserves smoke-free air and, therefore, all workplaces, including restaurants and bars, must become smoke-free.
